Spire orders latest imaging equipment

Spire Healthcare, an independent hospital provider in the UK, has placed an order for six MRI and three CT scanners with Siemens as part of the drive to expand its range of diagnostic imaging services, says Medic Exchange.

The Magneto Avanto MRI and Somatom Definition AS CT Scanners will be installed at a number of Spire Healthcare sites across the UK to provide permanent scanning facilities. Previously, the hospitals used mobile equipment one or two days a week.

We need the latest diagnostic imaging technology to meet the ever-increasing demands of our customers to position Spire Healthcare positively in a competitive marketplace," said Rob Roger, Spire CFO.
