Dimension Data and enterprise application specialist ERP.com have entered into a business alliance to provide prospective companies with combined networking and enterprise application integration skills.
"We`ve worked with ERP.com on several occasions and through this alliance, we`ll be able to leverage business from their application customer base, by providing end-to-end IT support, outsourcing and ASP opportunities in SA," says Colin Wall, channel manager of Dimension Data Enterprise Systems.
"Furthermore, the products and services from the i-Commerce division of Dimension Data will be brought into play so that all divisions in the group will benefit."
"ERP.com is well positioned as a market leader in implementing, integrating and managing enterprise applications and through strategic alliances with organisations such as Dimension Data, we are aiming to expand our presence in the South African market while maintaining our existing high levels of profitability and customer service," says Peter Forsyth, CEO of ERP.com.
This alliance opens up extensive business opportunities for both companies, each willing to promote the other`s products and services within their respective customer bases.
"Each project will be approached individually and where resources and expertise in enterprise applications cannot be fulfilled from within Dimension Data, we will work with ERP.com," continued Wall.
Dimension Data Enterprise Systems will provide ERP.com with network infrastructure, data centre facilities and solutions, application hardware platforms, software volume licensing and storage solutions. From an outsourcing perspective, the group`s Global Services Operating Architecture (GSOA) policies would be introduced to strengthen the overall service offering.
Dimension Data will be able to utilise ERP.com`s expertise in the implementation, maintenance and support of solutions from JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, SAP and their `mySAP.com` ASP offering, adding value to the Dimension Data solution.
"This is our first strategic alliance and we are confident that this relationship will benefit both organisations and their respective customer bases," comments Forsyth.
