Gartner has placed NetIQ at the head of its Magic Quadrant for Security Information & Event Management. In addition, IDC has named NetIQ the revenue and market share leader for the security and vulnerability management (SVM) software market.
Adding to these awards, Network World ranked NetIQ Vulnerability Manager as its Clear Choice Test winner for network and system security compliance products and rated it "the most well rounded product"; and Windows IT Media has recognised NetIQ Security Manager 5.5 with its Best of Tech Ed 2006 Award for Security.
"These awards demonstrate the recognition of our competitive advantages and the value we bring to our customers," says Riaan Otto, GM of 10Net ICT Solutions.
Gartner`s Magic Quadrant report evaluates vendors on their ability to execute based on criteria such as overall viability, sales execution and pricing, security information and event management (SIEM) installed base size, growth rate and revenue stream, and the effectiveness of the product in customer production and test environments; as well as their completeness of vision, based on capabilities that are specifically required for either security information management (SIM) or security event management (SEM) and for regulatory compliance monitoring and reporting.
NetIQ`s security management solutions deliver effective protection from, and enable rapid response to, security-related threats. Through a single, integrated platform that combines SEM for real-time enterprise event detection, correlation and response, along with SIM for log retention, historical analysis and reporting, NetIQ solutions reduce the time required by users to meet compliance requirements and identify, track and resolve security threats.
