Spescom Software Inc, the US operation of JSE listed Spescom Limited, announced that the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, has purchased an enterprise licence of Spescom's eB platform valued at approximately $1 million.
The eB platform will be used for managing all documents and content across the city's various departments.
The eB solution was selected after a comprehensive, competitive evaluation process, in part due to its proven functionality and standard integration with the city's infrastructure applications, including Hansen's Asset Management, Oracle Financials and ESRI's ArcGIS software suite. Each of these systems, together with several internally developed applications, will be fully integrated with eB to provide a city-wide information management framework.
"After many months of evaluation it became clear that Spescom's eB software platform was the right choice for the city," comments Joseph Marcella, City of Las Vegas CIO. "The integration of eB with our existing systems will help us meet the city's strategic goals and better position us to improve efficiency, customer service and productivity for the entire 'enterprise'."
