Cape Town - Abacus Telecomm has added the Neotel range of products to its portfolio in its ongoing quest to offer its clients the most competitive call rates available.
“We realise that different clients have different needs with regards to voice requirements,” says Dominic Sardinha of Abacus Telecomm. “While some clients are more inclined to opt for the VOIP offering, many clients are not in adequate broadband coverage areas, and as such can only make use of our traditional fixed-line service provider.
“We are now pleased to announce a viable alternative in Neotel. With cheaper monthly rentals and highly competitive call rates, which easily rival those of VOIP, customers can now achieve reduced telecommunication costs with virtually no CAPEX. In addition to this, Neotel has spent vast amounts of money and has greatly improved their voice and data platforms”
Sardinha continues to explain that customers who cannot afford and are unwilling to lay out the capital in order to set up VOIP communications can now opt for the Noetel offering. In addition, no alterations or added routers or gateways are required. Neotel lines function in the same way as the traditional PSTN lines, and can be connected to any PABX system, whether they are legacy-based PBX systems or digital/IP-based systems.
In addition to voice, Neotel also offers highly effective and affordable data connections. This can be done in an ADSL equivalent, or more desirably, the fibre broadband connections. And at rates from as little as R1 500 for an uncapped 1MB/s fibre connection, Neotel data becomes highly competitive.
Sardinha explains: “Clients currently on ADSL connections might find that at various times of day, the Internet seems to speed up or slow down. The main reason for this is that ADSL is a contended bandwidth. By this, I mean that you are not the only person on that connection. Numerous businesses in the area are connected to the same junction box and are sharing this same connection.
“Normally you can expect a contention ratio of one to many. This is where Neotel's service offering becomes far more superior, as they will never have a contention ratio of higher then one to four. This means that your 1MB/s connection speed is almost guaranteed. This speed is also applicable to both up- and downloading, whereas the traditional ADSL connection has an upload speed normally half of that of your peak download speed.”
“In addition,” Sardinha continues, “Neotel offers a comprehensive SLA on all their fibre options with a guaranteed up time of 99.5%.”
Abacus Telecomm says it is now equipped and geared to move forward on with all the Neotel offerings. Clients looking for more information pertaining to this can click here.
