Abnoba, Galdon Data prepare SA for next generation of RightFax

Johannesburg, 13 Oct 2004

Local empowered digital process automation provider, Abnoba, has announced the imminent release of RightFax`s new product line which will significantly extend the value of existing RightFax investments.

Over the last five years, RightFax enterprise fax server has evolved into an e-document delivery solution helping organisations achieve significant cost reductions by integrating and automating the flow of a full range of fax, paper and electronic documents and data.

Abnoba`s CEO, Fairoz Jaffer, says: "Abnoba and Galdon Data have the experience and the skill to assist and prepare customers for the next generation of RightFax."

Jaffer suggests that customers take advantage of RightFax`s Software Update Subscription (SUS) package to avoid higher upgrade costs in the future. What`s more, customers should start understanding now how RightFax`s new version will enhance enterprise communication efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Jaffer continues: "Software Update Subscription plan provides the customer with the ability to plan a fixed cost for new releases and stay updated with the latest technology."

Software Update Subscription includes any product hot fixes and service packs, point releases and full version releases of the software as they are released. SUS can be purchase for a one-year term or multiple years at a discounted price.

One of the major enhancements to RightFax 9.0 is the SQL Database which Abnoba believes is one of the most significant advantages as major platform changes will create a surge in demand. Getting rid of the proprietary RightFax database is a priority for many organisations in SA. Other enhancements include improved support for the new Brooktrout ranges, remote board server over WAN, expanded Web client, fax over IP (FoIP) support, Active Directory improvements, IBM Lotus Notes enhancements, Notes clustering support, Notes log file, SecureDocs, superior reporting and Microsoft .NET-based Web client.

Jaffer concludes: "RightFax 9.0 is due for release at the end of Q4 2004. Galdon Data is reputed to have the best support in the industry. Coupling our unique service level agreement with SUS will give the customer a well managed and planned environment, allowing them to leverage their investment to the maximum. We will help clients gauge the impact on their businesses in addition to helping them to actualise a true business information delivery platform which seamlessly integrates business information from virtually any application via fax, e-mail, print devices or over the Internet."
