Abraxas IT Services first to deliver online solutions to cluster developments

Abraxas IT Services, Cape, a member of Advanced Software Technologies-Abraxas (AST-A), and Rawson Projects Countrywide have signed a strategic agreement whereby Abraxas IT Services will deliver a computerised infrastructure into Owerbosch, a new prestigious cluster development in Cape Town.

The infrastructure includes a shared digital connection, which is on-line 24-hours a day and owners will incur no Telkom costs. In addition, free personalised e-mail will be made available to everyone. Each household will also receive free space for their individual web pages

"The idea for this project came about because of the increase in demand for the wide variety of E-commerce services such as banking on-line, ordering and purchasing on-line and JSE information," says Dale Good, Regional Networks Manager of Abraxas IT Services. "This has resulted in an increase in home dialup users, which is known for its problematic connections and high costs because of local telephone rates."
