ACCPAC achieves EMU accreditation

ACCPAC Earns BASDA Euro Compliance Certification, Supporting Recent European Expansion Drive LA Technology has announced that ACCPAC International, a division of Computer Associates', has achieved full European Monetary Union (EMU) accreditation for its ACCPAC for Windows product line from the Business & Accounting Software Developers Association (BASDA). The move follows ACCPAC's recent strengthening of its European operations.

Accreditation was achieved following independent testing by software auditors from Ernst & Young, who completed a series of compliance tests on ACCPAC software, including tests for euro compliance, triangulation, and rounding. ACCPAC solutions that achieved EMU Accreditation include ACCPAC Discovery Series, ACCPAC Small Business Series, and ACCPAC Corporate Series.

BASDA is an international software standards body representing more than 300 application developers in the business and accounting software industry. It has become a leader in establishing EMU specifications for the "euro zone."

The BASDA EMU Accreditation provides assurance to ACCPAC's customers in the 'euro zone' that its applications meet the complex requirements for the euro."
