With the release of Acer`sAccustor S1000, a storage subsystem, enterprises can bank on the safe storage of their data.

In addition, the Ultra 160 SCSI interface technology provides fast data transfer rates of 160Mbps, allowing daisy chaining for increased expansion options.
The Accustor system ensures maximum system uptime by using hot-swappable components and fault tolerance technology to help minimise the possibility of system failure. "An audible alarm and LED indicators also help to provide warnings when malfunctions occur," says Haefele.
The Accustor S1000 can be used in conjunction with servers as a clustering solution, providing increased availability for maximum uptime. By sharing the load between all the units in the cluster, it will continue to work even in the event of a hardware failure. The system provides easier maintenance, minimal downtime and better overall performance.
With dual bus I/O, and redundant power supplies and fans, the Accustor S1000 provides a high level of data availability. Using an internal or external RAID array, the S1000 can be configured for different levels of RAID, ensuring no information is lost in the event of a failure.
The Accustor S1000 also includes manageability tools that include Advanced System Manager Pro (ASM Pro) which will monitor storage and protect it with alerts to MIS even when the S1000 is down, enabling administrators to take action and prevent system failures and damage to company data. ASM Pro also provides superior task-intensive capability for storage management.
The AccuStor S1000 can be either a Stand Alone unit or it can be incorporated into a Rack, with the Rackmount Kit option.
