Acer has recorded November consolidated revenue of $539.96 million, an historical high for the company and the third successive month-on-month increase since September. This represents a 55.9% growth over $346.34 million recorded during the same period last year.
In cumulative terms, from January to November last year, Acer`s revenue was $4.12 billion, achieving 91.4% of the 2003 financial forecast of $4.48 billion.
January to November cumulative revenue for 2003 displayed 44.6% growth compared to the $2.85 billion achieved for the same period in 2002.
The company has also revised its annual forecast as a result of better than expected notebook sales in Europe for the final quarter of last year, the disposal of stocks in the fourth quarter and the purchase of treasury stocks that contributed to an increase of earnings per share (EPS).
According to IDC, Acer notebooks ranked number five worldwide for the third quarter of 2003, while in Western Europe, Acer notebooks ranked number two from Q3-2002 to Q3-2003.
