Acer country manager changes roles

Johannesburg, 28 Jan 2010

Former Acer SA country manager, Graham Braum, has stepped up to the position of regional manager for the entire Africa and Levant (Jordan and Lebanon) region.

According to an Acer statement, Braum will be responsible for overseeing the company's growth across 27 countries.

Braum says Acer plans to drive its netbooks into emerging markets. "I'm looking forward to the challenge of growing Acer's business across this region, which holds so much potential for us. Our presence in many of these countries is still relatively new, so we have plenty of scope to expand.”

Acer expects to name a country sales manager for SA in coming months, to take on some of Braum's current responsibilities at the local subsidiary.

Braum joined Acer Africa in 1997 as the company's first corporate account manager, and subsequently developed his career with the group in a range of roles, from technical and sales to business development to general management.
