Acer is first to market with Intel`s Centrino technology. The Acer TravelMate 800Cli and TravelMate 803Cli take mobility to new levels of availability.
Based on Intel Centrino mobile technology, the design of the TravleMate 800 is lighter and thinner than ever before, while Acer`s adoption of this amazingly energy-efficient solution offers unparalleled battery-life.
"The TravelMate`s main features include powerful performance, wireless connectivity and all-day battery life, giving customers the benefits of non-stop productivity and entertainment, as well as genuine mobility," says Gary de Menezes, channel and business manager at Acer. He adds that the series has integrated WLAN and optional Bluetooth technology, offering smooth and stable wireless connectivity.
The TravelMate 800 series is powered with more than eight hours of battery life with an AcerMedia Bay second battery and high capacity Li-ion battery. "Acer saw a niche in the market for a longer lasting battery and was determined to meet this need and facilitate longer daily productivity with the TravelMate 800 range," De Menezes states. Acer`s thermal dispersion design and advanced cooling technology further increase power efficiency.
Security is further improved by an integrated smart card reader, particularly significant in wireless LAN environments. Additional storage capacity is also provided for in this new range with the inclusion of DVD-RW. Measuring a thickness of only 2.5cm, and weighing 2.5kg, the TravelMate 800 is one of the lightest 2-spindle notebooks on the market.
