A new feather-weight portable projector from Acer is not only an ideal tool for business people who have to make presentations while travelling around SA, but also internationally.
A perfect companion for latest generation notebook PCs, the Acer PalmPro 7763P projector weighs just 2,3kg and is smaller than an A4 sheet of paper. It also has `one-world` compatibility features.
This internationalism includes an auto-switching power supply, a tuner box which is compatible with world video and colour standards, and an on-screen display that allows uses to choose from seven different languages.
"The travelling business person doesn`t have to worry about whether or not their notebook-based presentation is going to work with someone else`s projector. They can carry both in a single bag which won`t break their backs. And they won`t have to go through those embarrassing set-up moments when nothing seems operate correctly," says Nigel Gore, senior product manager at Acer in South Africa.
Acer has also launched a new feature-full projector, the Acer 7755C, which can be used on the table top for boardroom presentations or mounted on the ceiling in an auditorium for larger audiences.
It is also rear projection capable and includes a freeze frame feature, 4x magnification and remote control with virtual mouse and laser pointer.
"This is a very versatile solution for corporate presentations. The projector can be placed more than 12 metres projecting onto a screen measuring more than 7 metres diagonally," says Gore.
Acer PalmPro 7763P
The ultra-portable PalmPro utilises Texas Instrument`s advanced Digital Light Processing technology for bright accurate colour projection and a high resolution lens for a wider focus range.
It includes keystone correction to rectify any picture distortion and has a zoom facility that makes picture adjustment simple. At 1,5 metres from the screen, the PalmPro projects a an image of 7,8 cm and at 5 metres the image size is 3,3 metres
Optional accessories include an AV Box for connecting the projector to a wide range of AV sources such as VCRs, Laser Disc Players, DVD Players and video cameras. A tuner box allows large scale projection of live televised sporting events.
Acer Digital Projector 7755C
With a 3 LCD panel projection system, the Acer 7755C/7753C has a focus distance range of 1,2 to 12,3 metres. It weighs 4,4kg and has a lamp life of 2000 hours.
It is fully compatible with PAL, NTGSC and SECAM video. The Acer 7755C is compatible with XGA, SXGA (compressed), VGA and SVGA , Macintosh, Power Macintosh and Power BookPCs and SVGA.
