Acer sees signs of rebound
Acer is seeing strong signs of a rebound in the Indian market, which showed flat growth during 2008 and some marginal improvement during the first quarter of 2009, according to Indiatimes.
“Sales of notebooks and desktop PCs in the last three months have exceeded our expectations,” says S Rajendran, chief marketing officer of Acer India.
For the second quarter of calendar 2009, Acer recorded notebook sale that topped 90 000 units against 50 000 in the previous quarter, showing an 80% sequential growth.
Psystar lawyers depose Apple execs
Psystar lawyers have begun deposing Apple executives in the copyright infringement lawsuit brought by Apple last year, states CNET News.
Apple accused Psystar of copyright infringement after it began making Mac clone computers and selling them with Mac OS X installed.
Surprisingly, it seems that Psystar executives are actually enjoying themselves. In a post on the company's Web site last week, called "A taste of their own medicine," Psystar seems to gloat over the fact it is now deposing several Apple executives.
