Acuo Technologies developed the first pre-paid virtual top-up system in the local cellphone industry, covering all the cellular networks. The system, specifically designed for Nashua Mobile, allows a mobile service provider`s customers to purchase airtime through a website, and an integrated voice response system.
The system is designed for individual and corporate clients and customers are billed by credit card, debit card or debit order.
The system allows corporate clients to manage cell phone expenditure in a convenient fashion, impose limits on a daily and monthly basis by department and individuals, and allows corporate clients the luxury of managing their own cellphone accounts. In addition to covering all the networks, real-time online billing reports are available from the Nashua Mobile website. The service is available 24/7 and top-ups can be done anywhere in the world.
"The system has been live and operational since February 2003. Due to the system`s flexibility, it creates a platform for future innovative pre-paid products", says Carl Kies, General Manager of Acuo Technologies.
Nashua Mobile is South Africa`s largest independent cellular solutions provider with an annual turnover in excess of R1.7 billion. It is one of the few providers to offer consumers the choice of all three networks. More than 300 000 of South Africa`s two million plus contracted cellular subscribers are Nashua Mobile subscribers.
