ADM Systems wins certification from Systems Union, Pegasus

Johannesburg, 27 Mar 2006

Pretoria-based integrated IT solutions provider ADM Systems has received formal partner certification from global software giant Systems Union Group plc and its Pegasus suite of manufacturing software.

"There is huge potential for the Pegasus software as a total, fully integrated solution for South African companies operating in the high-growth mid-market sector," said ADM Systems general manager Anton Carstens.

"The Pegasus suite is innovative, offering a financial and business management solution that provides companies with tangible, measurable benefits."

The Pegasus suite is made up of three principal products: Operations II, a manufacturing management software system; Opera II, a full financial and accounting system; and XRL, a complete enterprise reporting and analysis system. It has features that are designed to streamline management and administration for any mid-market business.

Opera II is a smart accounting package with flexible reporting and analysis functions that put management in full control of the business. Innovative alerting and scheduling tools lift productivity. Opera II integrates with the unique way in which each individual business is run, seamlessly connecting the accounting engine room with all other departments and catering for growth and expansion through its modular structure.

Carstens said the Operations II manufacturing software delivers competitive advantage. "It gives companies the technology to effectively manage the processes that result in the production of quality products, delivered on time at competitive prices to customers who are increasingly price-driven and time-critical."

Further functionality can be quickly and inexpensively added as requirements change. Modules include Stock Control, Job Costing, Sales Order processing, Purchase Order processing, Production Control, Material Requirements Planning, Purchase Invoice Register, Price Matrix & History, Quotations, Stock Traceability, Instrument Calibration and Capacity Planning Link.

XRL allows Microsoft Excel access to live data at a mouse click, so there is no requirement to copy and paste, re-key or work out formulas. Critical data from other sources can easily be combined for complete enterprise reporting and analysis. Budget information, stock and price lists manipulated in Excel can be written directly back into Opera II. A Cube Analysis facility gives simple but extremely effective insight into summarised business operations and trends and a drill down feature and Charting Wizard can be used to display business data trends in greater depth.

"This new partnership with Systems Union and Pegasus adds a totally new dimension to our business software offering to our customers and the market in general," said Carstens. "Having gone through the tough certification process we are more than convinced that we will be able to help many local organisations to `fly` with Pegasus."

Carstens added that the South African mid-market sector has enormous potential for the application of business software solutions that "go beyond the purely accounting and financial" and "deliver strategic business intelligence and critical management information".
