Adobe Acrobat 4.0 features the facility to convert any file type to the .PDF format. An added benefit is the ability to convert Web pages to .PDF format for the user to read it offline.

Adobe After Effects 4.0 is a multimedia package that provides more control in the design of motion graphics and visual effects for film, video, multimedia and the Web. The program ships in two versions, the Standard version and the Production bundle.

The former is aimed at motion-graphics professionals, while the latter is geared for more advanced motion control features as well as additional distortion and audio effects.

Adobe Go-Live is a Web development tool that will feature several benefits. The visual design tools enable developers to lay out pages with pixel-level control and the source-code editor helps the developer write, edit and check the HTML code.

Adobe Photoshop 5.0 features several new functions including multiple levels of undo and redo, editable text with character-level formatting and flexible and precise colour management controls.

Photoshop is aimed at designers using digital image enhancement, photo retouching and image compositing.
