Adobe unveils enterprise platform
There are three components to the platform, said Rob Pinkerton, senior director of product marketing for CEM of Adobe.
“First, we are continuing to execute on the vision we set out last year for CEM, increasing the ability of our customers to differentiate themselves. Secondly, we are announcing a new platform offering for it based on a modern architecture to manage customer experience.
“And thirdly we are announcing on top of that platform a set of solutions for different lines of business to manage specific types of customer experience in the digital domain.”
According to eWeek, introduced on 20 June, the Digital Enterprise Platform is a modular, open-standards infrastructure for running applications using social networking, Web, mobile and print. It integrates HTML5, Adobe Air, Flash Player and Adobe Reader.
The PDF Reader is a key aspect of the Digital Enterprise Platform, according to Michael Jackson, head of health care solutions for Adobe. “Until you pay for those capabilities, you're not aware of the power of Adobe Reader,” Jackson said.
The Digital Enterprise Platform allows companies to customise which features of PDFs will be visible to consumers.
The PDF reader allows insurance companies or government customers to customize welcome kits and incorporate digital signatures and brochures.
