African Bank, the market leader in the provision of unsecured credit to emerging market clients, has signed a RiskMentor contract with PIC Solutions. With over 300 branches in SA, African Bank has grown to over 1.3 million customers in less than 10 years.
Through this RiskMentor consulting contract, PIC Solutions will provide ongoing credit and risk management consulting support for African Bank`s range of consumer credit portfolios.
The advantage of a RiskMentor contract is that African Bank `reserves` a specific level of consulting hours over the next 12 months. The bank can then make use of this consulting support as and when it is most needed. African Bank chooses what projects and when the specialist consulting resources are to be used, thus ensuring maximum productivity, combined with fixed monthly budgeting.
In addition, the RiskMentor consulting contract ensures that resources can be used from any area of PIC expertise, including credit risk consulting, analytics, project management and software services.
Alvar Olivier, Head of Market Management at African Bank, states: "PIC Solutions has an excellent reputation in the micro finance industry and we have identified a broad range of assignments that we want to progress over the next 12 months. As PIC Solutions has a successful track record of working with a number of credit grantors that are associated with African Bank, it made sense to work with them ourselves."
David Lewis, Director at PIC Solutions, adds: "We are delighted that African Bank has recognised the credit risk management expertise that PIC Solutions brings to the micro finance industry. We look forward to providing ongoing support, via this RiskMentor consulting contract, over the course of the next 12 months."
