Africell Gambia crosses the 1 million active subscribers mark

Africell Holding announces that Africell Gambia crossed the one million mark with over 1.1 million active subscribers.

The group's total active subscriber base stands at around six million and is expected to cross the seven million mark by end 2013.

Africell Gambia is positioned as an uncontestable market leader with 65% market share in a market of four players and a population of around two million. By the end of 2013, Africell Sierra Leone is expected to reach over 2.3 million active subscribers, and the newly launched Africell RDC, in Congo, is set to cross the 3.6 million active subscribers mark.
