The Information Systems, Electronics and Telecommunications Technologies Sector and Training Authority (ISETT SETA) has received an unqualified audit of its 2006/07 annual report.

So says Africa Boso, spokesman for the Auditor-General.

Responding to questions from ITWeb, Boso explains that ISETT SETA has moved from a disclaimer of opinion in 2005/06 to an unqualified opinion in 2006/07.

However, he notes there are still "some matters of emphasis and other matters" included in the most recent audit.

Yesterday, ITWeb quoted ISETT SETA CEO Oupa Mopaki as saying the organisation is on its way up.

"I am very pleased that we have overcome the problems around our financials. Now we need to focus on ensuring the rest of the business is performing optimally. Moving forward, we need to address the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes and see what improvements can be made. We are turning the corner," he said.

Since then, Boso has confirmed Mopaki's sentiments.

"The entity had implemented a turnaround which is the main contributor for the better results," he says.
