The CEO of Gauteng Department of Education, MaLlele Petje, and the Managing Director of Alcatel Business Systems, Martin Baak, will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) contract at the Kopanong Hotel on Friday, 12 April at noon.
The MEC of the Gauteng Department of Education, Ignatius Jacobs, and the CEO of Bytes Technologies Group will also be in attendance.

The Gauteng Department of Education`s vision is to have computers at all schools in its region to be able to provide Internet facilities to the students, as well as to the local community after school activities.
This entire network will be linked back to the department`s head-office via the Alcatel OmniPCX Office. Alcatel Business Systems will fund this Pilot Project.
