Alcatel-Lucent intros Genesys Compact edition
Alcatel-Lucent has extended its Genesys portfolio of contact centre solutions by further integrating key products into a multiplatform, open environment, reports CallCentreClinic.
The company will integrate the Alcatel-Lucent OmniTouch Premium Edition, which bundles Genesys contact centre solutions with the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise Communication Server, expanding it to become multiplatform, beginning with the Genesys SIP server.
As part of this move, the OmniTouch Premium Edition will be re-branded as Genesys Compact edition.
MS readies online CRM
Microsoft is gearing up to make Dynamics CRM Online available internationally in the second half of this year, states TMCNet.
Industry observer Marius Oiaga reports that Microsoft Business Division president Stephen Elop, and corporate VP of Microsoft Business Solutions Kirill Tatarinov announced that, come H2 2010, “customers in no less than 32 markets around the world would be able to start taking advantage of Dynamics CRM Online”.
The countries covered in the announcement include the US and Canada, a litany of European countries, Israel, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, India, the usual suspects.
India's BPO industry gets governance codes
Industry body Nasscom has unveiled a set of voluntary recommendations meant for strengthening corporate governance practices in the Indian IT-BPO industry, says MyDigital FC.
The recommendations will establish the highest standards of probity and corporate governance in the companies. “The main aim of the report is how we need to put in place different policies, and which are the policies a company needs to follow,” says Sangeeta Gupta, VP of Nasscom.
The recommendations of the report include the best practices to be followed by the IT-BPO sector, many of which are firms with world-class business practices competing at a global level based on service quality and delivery providing significant value creation to their stakeholders.
