Alienware unveils X51 gaming desktop

The Alienware X51 is based on a mini-ITX main board and relies on Intel Core i-series 'Sandy Bridge' microprocessors, Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics cards and some exclusive technologies from Alienware.

The Inquirer says the Alienware X51 is designed to give consumers a powerful machine capable of high-end gaming without compromising on size. Alienware said the X51 is its smallest ever gaming desktop.

Alienware VP Arthur Lewis said: "The Alienware X51 allows us to bring the exciting nature of high-definition, immersive gaming within reach of more gamers than ever before."

The Alienware X51's intelligently designed chassis blends function and style. The desktop has a sleek matte black finish with dark chrome accents and three customisable lighting zones, and is controlled by AlienFX software, Market Watch notes.

The gaming desktop's thoughtful design with an ultra-quiet dual orientation chassis allows for a horizontal or vertical set-up, allowing flexibility in the X51's footprint without sacrificing performance.
