All US carriers to stock Galaxy S III
wireless carriers competing to offer the device from the world's top-shipping phone maker, eWeek reports.
While full details are still unclear, it seems the Galaxy S III will retail starting at $199.
Indeed, Samsung is again showing off what it takes to be number one. Announcing the availability of its much-hyped Galaxy S III, it revealed it's leaving no one out. The phone will be available from all four major US carriers, as well as from US Cellular.
T-Mobile and Sprint said they will start selling the phone on 21 June. Sprint said the version with 16GB of memory will cost $200 with a two-year contract, philStar.com writes.
T-Mobile did not say what it would charge. Samsung said the other phone companies will announce specific launch dates and prices later.
The Galaxy series has emerged as the most popular alternative to Apple's iPhone. And in a first for a flagship Samsung phone, the Galaxy S III will have the same name across all US carriers. However, carriers won't be selling exactly the same phone. Each one will be selling a model adapted to its network.
