STT (Software Training Technology), a leading provider of enterprise training software and services for the corporate and government markets, today announced a strategic alliance with Intentia, a global provider of software applications and consulting to the manufacturing, distribution and maintenance industries.
The alliance will cover the Sub-Saharan Africa region where Intentia will offer STT`s enterprise training solution and professional services as a value-added solution to its Saharan market and existing user base.
STT`s enterprise training software will enable Intentia customers to rapidly develop high-quality simulation-based training, documentation and help files for roll-outs and upgrades of their applications, as well as meeting recurring training requirements. The software will also be used by customers to track progress of training and prove user competency for compliance to industry regulations.
Commenting on the benefits the company`s customer base will gain from Intentia`s partnership with STT, Jaco Smit, Business Development Manager for Intentia, says: "New software is always very intimidating for the end-user. And I believe that with a tool like STT Trainer, our customers will gain user acceptance and competency early on. Plus, they`ll be able to minimise the loss in productivity due to staff turnover, because you can immediately bring someone new up-to-speed with the prepared training material, and even test their competency before giving them a sign-on to the system."
"Our partnership with Intentia will help us gain a stronger presence in the manufacturing, distribution and maintenance industries where we hope to leverage off our experience helping manufacturers such as Daimler-Chrysler, Volvo, Pilkington, Sappi and Consol Glass achieve a higher return on their investment in their ERP and CRM applications by maintaining high levels of user competency across their organisation," says Lenard Hall, STT`s Regional Manager for Africa and Australasia.
Intentia is the only global enterprise solutions provider 100% dedicated to bringing software applications and consulting services to companies whose core processes involve manufacturing, distribution and maintenance- or the "make, move and maintain" market.
Intentia customers are typically medium to large organisations that operate in complex supply chains with tough competition and limited internal resources.
Intentia was founded in 1984 and serves over 3 000 customer sites in some 40 countries around the world. Intentia`s business solutions currently comprise enterprise management, supplier relationship management, customer relationship management, supply chain management, value chain collaboration, enterprise performance management and workplace management.
Intentia is a public company traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange (XSSE) under the symbol INT B.
