Value-added distributor AmVia is now able to offer SAP users the ability to access superior document and records management solutions through its Meridio product sets.
According to Kevin Hurwitz, managing director of AmVia: "Meridio currently develops enterprise-wide eDRM solutions, and we are delighted to announce that it has extended the capabilities of its document and records management software to ensure it integrates with that of enterprise business software leader SAP."
The integration between Meridio and SAP is through SAP ArchiveLink, which has been formally certified through the SAP Software Partner Certification Programme. The Meridio Archive Link is a software module that allows organisations using SAP systems seamless integration with Meridio`s eDRM software. This now allows SAP users peace of mind in that all of their SAP business information is held as efficiently and securely as possible.
"Compliance is a matter of serious business concern to customers and many are looking at additional services to provide extra security around existing document management services - facilitating their enterprise business solutions. Adding third party software to this equation can often mean better security in and around your systems, as you no longer have a single point of fail over," adds Hurwitz.
SAP users making use of the Meridio Archive Link interface will most commonly use this for automated storage and management for incoming documents in SAP Business Workflow, to ensure that transactions will link and store incoming documents in Meridio using bar codes. The interface is also capable of ad hoc processing of incoming documents, storage of outgoing documents, print lists which can contain data from the database for hard copy revision and the ability to store archive files between Meridio and SAP.
"There is already enormous interest in the combination of SAP and Meridio among our customers, as SAP is still the fastest growing business software in the world," ends Hurwitz.
