Angry Birds coming to TV, movie screens
The most popular app game of the smartphone world, Rovio's Angry Birds, will now take a big jump from its slingshot and land upon television screens for all its fans soon this year, International Business Times reports.
Finnish game developer Rovio Mobile revealed that it is launching a series of 52 short-form animations for its Angry Birds.
"We're going to roll it out on all possible devices," The Telegraph quotes Nick Dorra, Rovio's head of animation, as saying. "We want to be on all screens."
According to CNET, Dorra also confirmed that an Angry Birds movie is the works, but it won't be released for a couple of years.
"It's in development, but it won't be out in 2013 or 2014," Dorra told the MIPTV audience. "You'll have to bide your time and first watch all of our shorts."
