Annex Distribution, in association with its vendor partner and global distributor of digital lifestyle technology, BenQ, is pleased to introduce the DW1640 DVD ReWriter to the South African market - the first to feature 8x dual-layer technology guaranteeing the home and business environment greater writer speed, performance and capacity in DVD recording.
The all-in-one digital media solution, with Double Layer technology and DVD+R DL media, enables straightforward digital storage of photographs and home movies on DVD or CD, and instant playback on most DVD players and computer CD/DVD drives.
The DW1640 delivers an increased storage capacity of 8.5GB of data per disc, or up to four hours of DVD quality video.
Its features include BenQ`s exclusive Write Right Technology, which utilises Tilt Control and Walking Optimal Power Control II to maintain perfect control over both the laser beam angle and the power rate being projected into the disc.
The BenQ QSuite is an innovative application suite that complements and enhances the convenience of DVD recording technology. Four encompassed functions - Book Type Management, QScan, Test Write, WOPC enable/disable - allow the user to easily adjust drive settings to gain even greater control.
