In anticipation of higher levels of consumer interest in the digital lifestyle market ahead of the festive season, Annex Distribution is pleased to announce the availability of new range of LCD monitors developed and introduced by BenQ, a global supplier of digital lifestyle technology solutions.
Wide screen technology is a focal point of the enhanced Annex product line with featured product models that include FP222 22-inch wide LCD and FP202 20-inch wide LCD. The range also includes the FP92E 19-inch LCD and the FP72E 17-inch LCD.
"The FP222W wide screen offers 1680x1050 (WSXGA+) image resolution that delivers a clear, crisp and quality picture. This is another powerful example of how a combination of quality components and screen technology can offer the end-user a versatile, multifunctional product. It means the user can view two applications comfortably at the same time," says Ravi Perumal, assistant general manager, Annex Distribution.
To complement its wide screen offering, Annex has included the 20-inch FP202W into its range. With a screen width of more than 43cm, the FP202W allows for the user to read two pages at the same time, or view DVD movies or games in full size. Its features include an 8ms response time and 16.7 million display colours.
"LCD technology has advanced to the extent that it has become more affordable and can be used as a central component of any digital lifestyle technology setup," adds Perumal. The FP92E follows the global trend of enhancing the practicality of an LCD monitor and making it the hub of the digital environment - anything from a home workstation to a gaming station or office network.

The product's key features include an 8ms response time, a high quality visual display and D-Sub/DVI Dual Input, as well as integrated multimedia speakers.

The 19-inch complies with BenQ's Energy Star program version 4.0, designed to encourage optimum use of power and lower consumption rates while providing maximum performance," Perumal says.
The FP72E or 17-inch LCD is targeted at a wide spectrum of end-users, including mobile professionals, students and those operating small businesses from home.
Key features include 17-inch screen, integrated multimedia speakers, lightning-fast 8ms response time, super picture quality and D-Sub/DVI Dual Input.
"This is a versatile, entry-level offering with features that will appeal to a broad-base of mobile enthusiasts. It is slim in design, lightweight and features a very appealing response time," adds Perumal. "LCD is rapidly emerging as the de facto standard in monitor technology and now finds a very definite place within most digital areas. Innovation and development has encouraged greater use and higher levels of adoption. The advent of mobile and wireless technology and consumer buy-in to the 'always connected' policy, could also be seen as key driving forces."
