Annex Distribution has confirmed that it will stock and supply the local market with the LIFEBOOK Q2010, the latest product from Fujitsu Siemens Computers` ultra-portable professional notebook range.
The LIFEBOOK Q2010 was recently introduced to the global market at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The product weighs only 1kg, is 20mm thin in DIN A4 format and, according to developers, is specifically designed to enhance the professional mobile environment.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers is one of the first major vendors to announce products with embedded UMTS, enabling anytime, anywhere data access and telephony.
From an aesthetic point of view the new LIFEBOOK Q2010 is stylish, with titanium joints, magnesium housing and a black piano lacquer finish.
Technical highlights include:
* 12.1-inch WXGA-TFT display
* Embedded UMTS with data access and telephony features
* Integrated WLAN and Bluetooth
* VOIP (voice over IP) ready with integrated array microphones
* Based on Intel Centrino mobile technology, Core processor ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) with Intel 945GMS chipset
* Six-cell battery enabling up to eight hours of operation without external power
* Port replicator with integrated dual-layer multiformat DVD burner
* Top security with integrated fingerprint sensor and SmartCase Logon+ software, and with TPM Modul 1.2
The LIFEBOOK Q2010 is the perfect mobile companion for managers and decision-makers spending much of their time on the move.
"We repeatedly discussed our requirements and the best way to fulfil them with the laboratories as well as our colleagues in Japan. The end result is a very exclusive notebook that flawlessly blends an appealing design with the latest technology," commented Peter Esser, Executive Vice-President, Volume Products and Supply Operations at Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
"In an effort to keep the device as small as possible, we left out the optical drive. Instead UMTS enables fast and wireless data access. For me, the LIFEBOOK Q2010 is the perfect addition to our mobility portfolio, which has been winning over customers for years with versatile, smart and technologically innovative systems."
"Fujitsu Siemens Computers has confirmed that the Q2010 will be produced in limited quantities only. This is a unique opportunity for local users to gain the maximum benefit from a strong, efficient and stylish notebook, one that offers the comprehensive mobile and wireless connectivity and related features," says Jason Gibb, Fujitsu Siemens Computers product manager at Annex Distribution.
