ANNEX extends mobile range with BenQ Joybook Centrino 5000

ANNEX Distribution, through its partnership with international supplier of digital lifestyle devices BenQ, is to make available the Joybook 5000 laptop powered by Intel Centrino mobile technology.

The Joybook 5000 features an Intel Pentium M Processor 1.4GHz or above, a 200-nit high brightness LCD display as well as an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 graphics chip for enhanced gaming and animation.

Users also have the benefit of a 24x DVD/CD-RW combo drive that will support storage, copying and the sharing of large volumes of data.

Centrino mobile technology provides enhanced wireless performance and communication, including:

* Built-in Intel Centrino Mobile Network Technology and Antenna providing 11Mbps (IEEE 802.11b WiFi certified) wireless data communication
* Built-in 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet (RJ-45 connector)
* Built-in 56K V.92 modem (RJ-11 connector)
* IrDA Infrared communication at up to 4Mbps
