Annex, Intel take stroll under the board walk

Johannesburg, 28 Aug 2006

Annex Distribution is proud to announce that it has in stock the very latest in Intel motherboard and chipset technology. The new product range, the Classic Series, supports Dual Channel DDR2 memory as well as the entire range of desktop processors, from Celeron D to Core 2 Duo.

According to company spokesperson, Gary Naidoo, the timing of this product release is ideal as businesses and end-users continue to review existing infrastructure and look to invest in technology that is equipped to handle the performance requirements within most digital environments today.

"Our objective is to provide the market with sound technology that has the components to support memory and storage requirements and capacities to adequately manage high data transfer and utilisation rates," comments Naidoo. "This is significant as far as the growth of the local mobile and wireless space is concerned and in terms of the value for all investors."

The new range of Intel motherboards includes the DQ963FX M/B, DP965LT, DG965RV and DG965SS.

Shaun Welgemoed, Intel product manager at Annex, points to the Intel Desktop Board DQ963FX M/B Classic Series as an example of what the market can expect.

"This product is based on the latest Intel Q963 Express Chipset and delivers support of up to 8GB of DD2 667/533 SDRAM memory. Users can take advantage of integrated graphics thanks to the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3000 and up to 10 USB ports to offer comprehensive support," says Welgemoed.

Welgemoed also refers to the Intel Desktop Board DP965LT Classic Series.

"Based on Intel`s P965 Express Chipset and offering the same level of flexibility, reliability and support, this product incorporates Fast Memory Access Technology and incorporates High Definition Audio with 5.1 surround sound and effective network connectivity with integrated Intel PRO 10/100/1000 Network Connection," adds Welgemoed.

"The new motherboard range offers technical capacity, enhanced performance and flexibility that can only add to the digital experience. Integrated software that comes with specific products, like Intel Audio Studio and Premium VOIP Service Offers, takes the digital interaction to a whole new level," Welgemoed continues. "In addition, all Intel motherboards sold by Annex come with a three-year full warranty."
