EMC Corporation, the world leader in information storage and management, today announced that the readers of DM Review magazine have selected EMC as the Best Storage Solutions Provider for 2003. EMC was honored as this year`s winner of the DM Review Readership Award in the "Storage" category.
Based on the results of an independent poll of more than 1,200 information technology customers, EMC was selected as the top provider of storage technology for the business intelligence community. The honor places EMC and its products in the top spot over 27 other storage providers and products.
The Gantry Group, LLC, a strategic advisory and research firm, conducted the independent survey of corporate executives and IT managers at Fortune 1000 and medium-sized companies. Survey participants were presented with defined product categories and asked to select and rate the vendors of products in use in their organizations. The 2003 DM Review Readership Award winners were identified based on the ratings and number of respondents.

In addition, Dell Inc. was selected as this year`s Best Server Provider. EMC and Dell entered into a five-year strategic alliance in 2001 that was subsequently extended for an additional two years. Under the agreement, Dell co-brands EMC`s CLARiiON line of networked storage systems. Since the partnership was formed, customers have installed more than 7,000 Dell|EMC systems worldwide.
