Dealers in the Vox Telepreneur network, an innovative marketing programme that aims to make affordable telecommunications available to every South African, are now able to earn commissions on international phone calls made from customers' cellphones.
“Vox Vaya offers calls to international landline numbers at local cellular rates,” explains Vox Telecom CEO Douglas Reed. “For customers who have contracts with free minutes, that means free overseas calls to over 90 countries around the world.”
Although calls are cheap or free to consumers, dealers can still earn commissions on the minutes used. “We get paid a set fee by the cellular networks every time one of their subscribers calls a Vox number,” explains Reed. “Thanks to our technology and international agreements, we're able to connect the international part of the call for much less than that - so we're sharing some of the difference with our dealers as a reward for those who help spread the word.”
“South Africans are paying ridiculously high fees to their telecommunications providers and we've decided it's time to give some of that back,” adds Reed. “All the products in the Vox Telepreneur portfolio offer real savings to consumers and earning opportunities to dealers at the same time.
For a once-off fee, participating Vox Telepreneur dealers will each have a dedicated Vox Vaya number to give their customers, enabling international call minutes to be tracked and commission to be calculated accordingly.
