Keeping trend with the global demand for more cost-effective computing, AOpen - in association with its official South African distributor Rectron - has introduced its new range of affordable CRT (cathode ray tube) and LCD (liquid crystal display) monitor ranges, which are available in various sizes and colours to the local marketplace.
The AOpen CRT monitors are available in 15-, 17- and 19-inches and in white, silver and black, while the LCD monitors come in white or silver and are 15- or 19-inches respectively.
Commenting on the CRT monitors, Reon Coetzee, marketing manager of Rectron, says that these monitors are becoming less and less expensive, while at the same time offering high-end full-featured displays.
AOpen`s CRTs provides enhanced details for everything from CAD/CAM applications to word processing, spreadsheets and family photos.
Looking at the LCDs, these monitors feature a sleek, space-saving design that leaves more room on desktops and other working environments. "LCDs offer exceptional lifespan and electricity usage as well reduced eye strain, as the screen is brighter and flicker-free," he says.
"In addition to being more affordable, LCDs are also safer to use as they radiate no electromagnetic rays."
AOpen`s new brighter screen monitors aim to enhance the television, video or gaming experience of users as well sets out to improve graphics design and other tasks that are reliant on colour and brightness.
