AOpen releases office player

AOpen has unveiled a digital office media player, the O201N3, writes PRLog.

The O201N3 combines an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz processor and Intel GM45 chipset. The media player focuses on businesses looking for energy-efficient solutions.

The system is equipped with 5.1 channel audio out, USB, e-SATA, LAN and DVI connections. It was designed for real-time digital publishing with a low ongoing operational cost.

Xerox innovates with digital press

Researchers at Xerox have developed a system for the printing of high-definition images at speeds of 80 to 100 pages per minute, states Benzinga.

The digital presses address the need for vibrant image quality and the ability to complete complex jobs faster.

“With paper moving at these speeds, there are countless engineering challenges along the way,” says David Mueller, engineering manager at Xerox. “The technologies we developed, especially the new fuser and clear toner, really push the envelope in terms of how these presses perform.”

Nuance upgrades document software

Nuance Communications unveiled a significant upgrade to the document automation capabilities of eCopy ShareScan software, says Enhanced Online News.

The system provides multifunction peripheral scanning, enabling organisations to replace manual paper processes with digital document workflows.

“eCopy ShareScan has gained a leading position in the market and has won a wide array of awards due to its robust scanning features and ease-of-use,” says Robert Weideman, GM for the Nuance Document Imaging Division.
