Apollo Company, a Belgrade Based software development company and Silverbreeze, a newly found company in South Africa, announced a distributor agreement for the Apollo ERP product in Sub-Sahara Africa.
Apollo Company has recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. Their business focus has been their Oracle based; complete banking solution called, Apollo BankWare, and the midrange ERP application named Apollo BusinessWare. As the information highway passed through its various architectural periods, so did the BusinessWare technology. It is currently in its fourth generation version, consisting of a fully shared application in a hosted architecture ready for an ASP (Application Service Provider) deployment. "Apollo G4 is released in September 2001, with the only goal to place it on the international market. The concept we support today with Apollo G4 is changing the global ERP market picture. Traditional client/server applications are slowly becoming obsolete and hosted architecture is taking over as the dominant architecture of preference. New architecture allows even SMB (Small Medium Business) customers access to the sophisticated business applications with a much reduced investment and low maintenance cost", said managing director and founder Branislav Djurkovic.
"We have identified the need for a cost effective ERP solutions for medium to small sized companies in South Africa. We are confident that the Apollo ERP, with its extensive functionality, will address the business process needs of medium to small sized companies in a surprisingly affordable way. By adding Apollo to our range of products, we are moving closer to not only enable e-business solutions, but also to provide end-user functionality which will add business value to our clients", said Louis Ferreira, Silverbreeze managing director. The product will initially be sold as a client site implementation, with the future objective to provide an online solution using a ("pay as you go") based pricing structure.
As part of the preparation for the South African market, Silverbreeze and its implementation partners were trained in using and implementing the Apollo ERP solution to automate client business and resource planning processes.
Silverbreeze, with headquarters in Pretoria, South Africa, was recently founded to provide software solutions and consulting services for distributed IT environments and mobile-e-solutions in medium to large-scale enterprises.
