Google challenges Oracle claim
Google has challenged Oracle's claim that it infringed several patents regarding its use of a virtual-machine technology in the Android operating system, states PC Magazine.
In a court filing, Google presented several defences as to why Oracle's claims should be overturned, including that the patents were invalid and unenforceable, and that Google had not infringed upon them.
Google asked the judge overseeing the case in a Northern California court to declare that it had not infringed the seven patents that Oracle had asserted.
