Prices for older MacBook Air models will drop, according to The Core Group.
The Core Group - distributor of Apple products in southern Africa - announced the availability of new MacBook Air models from selected resellers including iStores and Digicape, while prices for the 2013 devices are set to drop.
According to a Core Group statement, the recommended retail price (RRP) for the new models starts at R12 699 for the 12-inch MD711 model, while the 13-inch MD761 model costs R17 599. The two other models in the new range cost R13 999 and R15 699 respectively.
Last year's MacBook Air models have now dropped prices, ranging from R11 999 to R16 599.
The statement notes that retailers are at liberty to set their own prices and older models are subject to stock availability.
