Apple unveils Macbook Pro 13-inch

After all the whining, the bickering, and the constant remarks about how Windows-based laptops have this and that and cost so much less, Apple, a company known to make its own rules, is finally letting down its guard, writes PCMag.

The MacBook Pro 13-inch has brought back the FireWire port, lowered its price, and for the first time in the company's history, added the elusive SecureDigital slot.

We're not ignoring the bigger and now non-removable battery, which scored an admirable four hours 44 minutes on our battery tests, but the other improvements are signs that Apple is finally paying attention to its suggestion boxes.

Acer intros “Timeline series”

Acer has unveiled a series of notebooks called the 'Timeline series', based on the Intel Ultra-Low Voltage (ULV) platform in India, says TechTree.

The notebooks introduced are Aspire 3810 T, Aspire 4810 T and Aspire 5810 T. The new ULV Intel Core 2 solo processor enables thinner designs with longer battery life.

Aspire Timeline notebooks consume up 66% less than required by Energy Star standards, the company said.
