APPSolve, its customers, colleagues and friends got together to support Ditshego House of Laughter on Saturday 1 April with its renovation project.
Ditshego is a local children charity which renders services to 307 children in the Mooiplaas Informal Settlement in Pretoria, South Africa: 140 in the pre-school, 120 in aftercare, 40 in the Drop-in Centre and seven in the House of Laughter. This children's haven have been doing such amazing things for many children in need and in addition, provide them with love, support and education, uplifting an entire community.
They have recently acquired a plot opposite their Mooiplaas Informal Settlement projects. This is so exciting. Many of the Ditshego projects will now be housed on one premises. Unfortunately the lovely house on the premises was built in 1974 and the tenants did not do any maintenance or renovations.
"Renovating their new premises is a mammoth task so every minute and cent goes a long way in making a difference to so many children's lives. APPSolve rolled up its sleeves and donated not only funds for their IT infrastructure, but also household and garden items, and most valuable of all, their time to help with the renovations," says Maureen Grosvenor, Chief Strategy Officer at APPSolve.
