John Snow Inc (JSI) has awarded a contract to AST for work to be performed for the Central de Medicamentos e Artigos M'edicos (CMAM) of the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Mozambique CMAM with funding from the United States Agency for International Development in Mozambique (USAID/Mozambique) to supply and implement a Computerised Integrated Management Information System for the supply and distribution of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
Phase one of the contract is in excess of US$636 500.
The Computerised Integrated Management Information system will improve CMAM`s ability to identify requirements, procure and distribute medicines and other medical supplies through the MOH`s supply chain within Mozambique.
In addition, the system will provide CMAM with an integrated management information system which will allow the organisation to monitor and account for all medical supplies purchased and supplied through CMAM.
