Merit International, a business unit of the AST Group, has partnered with US-based SeeBeyond and Best International to launch a new service designed to provide SeeBeyond customers with a ready and scalable supply of highly trained SeeBeyond-accredited technical resources.
Merit International is a leading specialist provider of integration and transformation services to large enterprise clients with complex heterogeneous IT environments. It serves an international, multi-sector client base that includes the Royal Bank of Scotland, Shell, Old Mutual and Belgacom. Leading professional services companies such as Xansa and IBM have engaged Merit on behalf of a number of their clients, in recognition of Merit`s expertise and specialist skills.
The service provided by the partnership will be known as the SeeBeyond Resource Centre (SRC) and represents an investment by the three companies of nearly $10 million.
The need for the SRC has been driven by the substantial growth - by over 200% - in SeeBeyond EMEA licence revenue in over the last two years. SeeBeyond is keen to protect its customers from the risk of escalating resource costs and sees this initiative as a means of providing its customers with SeeBeyond-accredited, project-ready consulting resources, with the added advantage of price predictability. The SRC personnel will all be skilled in the technical implementation of SeeBeyond and will help to ensure that SeeBeyond customers gain full utilisation of the SeeBeyond software from day one.
Richard Stevenson, CEO of Merit International, commented: "This initiative represents a unique solution to the perennial Catch 22 faced by fast-growing software companies: how to ensure that there is sufficient skill in the market to support their solution, without themselves becoming competitors to their service partners."
The SeeBeyond Resource Centre uses a proven approach when building up the resources required by organisations, at the same time ensuring that all those resources are SeeBeyond approved and have the required technology and integration skills to meet the customers` needs. The availability of these resources will provide customers with significant benefits, removing many of the risks associated with non-accredited resources. In addition, it will allow for accurate forecasting and management of project resource costs.
AST`s intellectual capacity, as well as the business model and strong customer base, forms the basis for the integrated services solutions business.
Ideally positioned as a leading technology solutions company focused on selected industries, AST unlocks substantial value for its clients. The AST Group - a trustworthy and innovative ICT company.
