AST Enterprise Solutions (ES), a business unit of the AST Group, has announced that Quest Software`s application management solutions to enhance performance and service levels have been SAP certified. This will assist AST ES to improve the efficiency and availability of its clients` critical SAP solutions.
The positive evaluation of Quest`s solutions, Foglight, LiveReorg and SharePlex, was the result of a rigorous integration assessment conducted by SAP`s Integration and Certification Centre that demonstrated how the products could be used by SAP customers to help ensure the availability and efficiency of their mission-critical SAP solutions.

Quest Software`s SAP solutions are:
* SharePlex maintains a near real-time replica of Oracle databases to offload critical systems with very little overhead. It integrates with the Client Copy portion of SAP to ensure that a secondary reporting database remains synchronised with the production SAP database;
* LiveReorg reorganizes databases running SAP solutions while users remain online. It is the industry`s only high-availability solution that allows administrators to perform critical maintenance while the database and users remain up and running, recovering wasted disk space within Oracle databases and allowing deferral of additional storage purchases as well as enhancing application performance; and
* Foglight monitors every layer in the technology stack affecting SAP solutions performance, alerting system managers to actual or potential application issues or failures before end-users are affected.
