AST ESM delivers Internet speed to e-business applications

AST ESM, a division of the AST Group, has introduced a diagnostic solution that will help raise the bar for real-time fault management and address the full life cycle of problem identification and resolution in an R/3 environment. BMC`s PATROL for R/3 - Diagnose allows companies to quickly and confidently initiate appropriate corrective system actions resulting in optimised availability and reduced administrative and maintenance costs.

The product performs online event correlation and interactive diagnosis to address problem identification including symptom detection and identification, root-cause analysis, diagnostic testing, fault isolation and recovery. Additionally, the product provides real-time analysis of performance issues that occur frequently or have a short but adverse impact on the system.

PATROL for R/3 - Diagnose automates the diagnosis of slow-running processes and transactions. The product also diagnoses availability problems of key R/3 services and workload performance issues. The diagnostic capabilities provide detailed problem descriptions and expert advice on problem resolution based on best practices and advanced trouble-shooting techniques.
