AST, Visionael bring network inventory management solution to SA

AST Enterprise Solutions Management (AST ESM), a division of the AST Group, and Visionael Corporation have announced an alliance, whereby AST ESM will deliver cost-effective implementations of Visionael`s solution to service providers and corporate clients in southern Africa and Australia.

Through the implementation of Visionael, AST ESM will enable its clients to gain a complete understanding of their network infrastructure, and will assist them in the planning, optimisation and utilisation of fully integrated Operational Support Systems (OSSs).

"Visionael`s unique solution will enable us to address the gap which currently exists in the market for effective network inventory, configuration and change management solutions."

Visionael`s multi-user software allows business and network managers to gain in-depth knowledge and control of their networks, thereby managing them as strategic business assets.

Its network management software allows organisations to manage network resources across the lifecycle of the network, supporting the planning, design, building, provisioning and operation of complex networks.

The application also integrates with active network management applications such as HPOV, RiverSoft Fault Manager and Tivoli as well as other task-specific tools. "Together, these features create a solution that ensures that network assets are fully utilised. It will also reduce the time needed to implement network changes," says Van den Bosch.
