Astral Datatech Solutions has partnered with Datawatch Corporation UK, a leading provider of enterprise reporting, business intelligence (BI), data transformation and support centre solutions software. In terms of the partnership, Johannesburg-based Astral Datatech Solutions has been appointed as the official distributor of Datatwatch`s award-winning global technologies in South Africa.
"Datawatch is a successful global player with proven solutions across all industries", says Santa Pieterse, Managing Director of Astral Datatech Solutions. "The company`s professionalism and its in-depth knowledge and understanding of business technological needs makes Datawatch an ideal company to have as a partner."
Astral Datatech Solutions, a newly formed company, was launched to provide specialised tailor-made solutions for content and report management and BI, to assist businesses to securely and cost-effectively distribute information.
Datawatch`s flagship product, Monarch|ES, is an integrated web-enabled software suite, which offers easy storage and paperless distribution of reports, documents and forms, with a standard web browser. Monarch|ES also transforms report-based information into live online data for easy analysis without programming.
"What differentiates Monarch|ES from competitive products locally and overseas is that it offers protection and enhancement of previous IT investments, security and measurable ROI," Pieterse maintains. "Many companies are trying to rid their operations of the daily costs of printing and courier costs for reports enterprise-wide. They wish to gather data from different applications on different platforms and deliver customised reports electronically. This need is especially acute for companies using ERP systems," Pieterse points out.
She says key features of Monarch|ES, which will make Monarch|ES beneficial to and acceptable by the South African market, are:
* Automation of report distribution throughout the enterprise;
* Reports delivered to users` desktops;
* Lowered costs of printing hardcopies and distribution of reports; and
* Reduced human resources to generate and control report distribution.
Pieterse adds that last year Datawatch was honoured with a CMP Media RealWare Award for providing software technology with proven, "real" business benefits. "ROI studies from Datawatch`s global clients, using Monarch|ES, have identified thousands of US$ in cost savings from managing project costs, collecting receivables more proactively and eliminating courier costs of paper reports - excluding labour saved by eliminating manual report distribution."
