Asus unleashes Lamborghini laptop

SMH.

Computer company Asus doesn't bill its new laptop as the supercar of portable PCs, but it certainly looks like one.

The manufacturer has again teamed up with Lamborghini to offer a high-performance portable PC for gaming enthusiasts, with a new model inspired by the design of the Italian marque's new Aventador supercar.

According to PCWorld, the VX7 doesn't just look fast. Asus has packed the premium laptop with a second-generation Intel Core i7 quad-core processor (2.0GHz), a huge 3GB of video memory via the Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M graphics card, up to 16GB of DDR3 memory, and super-speed USB 3.0. With the eight-cell battery, the VX7 weighs 8.42 pounds.

As for customisation options, the 15.6-inch display is available as either 1920-by-1080 HD or 1366-by-768 HD 3D.

Users can add up to two drives in various combinations for up to 1.5TB of storage (two 750GB 7200rpm hard drives, for example, or one 500GB 7200rpm drive with 4GB SSD).

At the side, reports Tech Tree, Lamborghini VX7 has Bluetooth 2.1 sensor, (802.11 b/g/n), eight-in-one card reader, Gigabit LAN, one USB 3.0 port, HDMI port, and a VGA Port. To make this huge laptop long for hours, ASUS has incorporated eight-cell 75WHr battery. The laptop weighs around 3.82kg.
