Atlassian acquires GreenHopper
Atlassian has acquired GreenHopper from GreenPepper in order to add agile project management support to Atlassian's Jira product line, reports InfoQ.
Also announced was the availability of a new Web mini-site called 'agile@Atlassian', "to share perspectives on agile software development and explain how Atlassiaon engineers use agile software techniques themselves”.
Pyxis Technologies developed GreenHopper as a Jira plug-in and the acquisition by Atlassian will enhance the integration and consolidate support for the tool.
Rally integrates reporting capabilities
Rally Software Development, an Agile application life cycle management (ALM) provider, has introduced new reporting capabilities for its award-winning Agile ALM solution, says Business Wire.
This is the first product integration from the company's acquisition of 6th Sense Analytics, an on-demand and automated metrics collection and analysis company, announced in January.
The new reporting features, including a single-source reports tab, give development teams and executives greater visibility into the overall status and quality of their Agile projects.
IIL intros PM course
International Institute for Learning (IIL), a professional training institute in areas including project, programme, and portfolio management, has introduced its newest course, 'Agile development and project management', further expanding the company's broad portfolio of learning solutions, states PRWeb.
As IIL's first offering to touch upon Agile development, the course will provide an introduction to the Agile approach and will explore how it can help project managers do more with less and enhance their traditional development and project management philosophies and practices.
"For projects involving significant software components, traditional project managers are increasingly being asked to lead and work with Agile-trained teams," said E LaVerne Johnson, founder, president, and CEO of IIL.
